Global Connect Asia powered the ASOCIO ICT SUMMIT 2016

 We are thrilled to announce that Global Connect Asia (GCA) powered the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) ICT SUMMIT 2016 in Yangon, Myanmar from the 14th to 16th of November. Last year, this event was held as “ASOCIO PIKOM ICT Leadership Summit 2015” in Malaysia and this year, our country was seen hosting the event for the very first time. 

This summit is a forum of Chairmen, CEOs, senior leaders of businesses in Myanmar, the Asian – Oceania region, government leaders, representative of ICT related government agencies. It’s a place to meet, exchange and share information/experiences on the current state, challenges, prospects, discuss the measures, policies related issues and strategies for the development of the ICT industry in Myanmar. The ASEAN Free Trade section, electronics, better trading opportunities between Myanmar and ASEAN countries were discussed all in the hope to produce the skilful/ professional in ICT sectors, and finally to open up the better opportunities for our Myanmar IT professionals.

The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) is a group of IT industry associations representing economies in the Asia and Oceania region. ASOCIO was established in 1984 with the objective to promote, encourage and foster relationships and trade between its members, and to develop the computing industry in the region.

Presently, ASOCIO represents the interests of 31 economies, comprising 24 members from Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and seven guest members from USA, UK, Canada, Spain, Russia, France, and Kenya. Today, ASOCIO’s members account for more than 10,000 ICT companies and represent approximately US$350 billion of ICT revenue in the region.

Online Registration & Ticketing

With the help of GEVME, we created a seamless online registration experience for the attendees in the events. The Event Organizer(EO) was able to make fully use of our highly customizable registration form that is both smart and responsive. Onsite registration, Check-in & name badge printing

GEVME provided a hassle-free onsite check-in experience for all the attendees through the use of QR codes and barcodes. Attendees were delighted to check themselves in. We also printed personalised name badges that served as icebreakers at the events, thus creating a comfortable networking atmosphere for the attendees.

Event Sessions Check-ins/Tracking

​With GEVME, users were able to create multiple check-in sessions to track attendance of the attendees. The EO simply filtered those who registered but didn’t show up and tracked those who came by simply using a separate session check-in.

GEVME helped in creating responsive landing pages that are easily customizable, SEO-friendly and social media ready.

Onsite Attendee Management

GEVME managed the attendees’ database by using smart lists and generated the reports needed to bring this event to the next level.
